INFORMATION & NOTIFICATION

The FOKIA receives information and notifications as an industries association from different sources of the Government and Quasi – Judicial bodies which in turn are circulated to the members to update themselves and keep abreast with latest provisions of the laws which have to be complied by the corporate.

REPRESENTATION TO VARIOUS GOVERNMENT AGENCIES

The issues confronted by members with government agencies, such as relating to Goods and Service Tax (GST), Income Tax, Property Tax, Pollution Control Board, Industries Commissionrate, clearances from Collector Office, Power Supply and power regulators, water supply etc. are taken up by the Federation with the concerned departments to resolve their problems expeditiously.

CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN

The FOKIA is authorized agency by Director General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce, and Government of India to issue Certificate of Origin which is a mandatory document forming part of their export document.

PETITION TO VARIOUS REGULATORY BODIES

The FOKIA initiates action to file Petition with Regulatory bodies such as Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) in connection with Power Tariff Policy of Power Distribution Companies and with other Quasi-Judicial bodies to protect the interests of business and industry sector.

CONSULTANT

FOKIA maintains a panel of consultants to deal with issues pertaining to Income Tax Act, GST Act, Labor Laws, GPCB, Electrical Power, Land reforms etc. in general and segment wise issues in particular who from time to time render honorary advisory services to its members.

EVENTS & ACTIVITIES

FOKIA has organized more than Two Hundred (200) seminars on various subjects, ranging from electrical and machine safety, open access and renewable power policy, Goods & Service Tax(GST), safety health and environment, Project Blue Revolution –a journey from water scarce to water surplus district, and human resources development , Corporate social responsibility, DEEP ( Deendayal Upadhyay Employment enhancement programme) etc.

Ordinary Members

  • Industrial establishments and corporate undertakings as recommended by the BOD, who are engaged in production / manufacturing of goods, will be eligible to become Ordinary Members of the FOKIA.

Associate Members

  • Finance, Banking, Travel & Tourism, Professionals, Consultants, Clearing & Forwarding Agents (CHAs) etc. who fall under the categories of the services liable for service tax, Goods and service tax or any other similar tax as applicable from time to time, as recommended by the BOD will be eligible to become Associate Members of the Federation.
  • They should be engaged in providing allied / professional services to industrial establishments and eligible in the acceptable fields.

Association & Institutional Members

  • Industrial Associations, Educational Institutions governed under KSKV Kachchh University, GTU & other Technical Educational Board, NGOs (registered under society , Trust or section 8 of Companies Act, 2013) , as recommended by the BOD shall be eligible to become the Association & Institutional Members of the Federation with attendant rights and privileges which would be decided by the BOD from time to time.

Honorary Members

  • Individual who in the opinion of the BOD have rendered outstanding services to the community at large and have distinguished themselves will be invited to become the Honorary Members of the Federation.
